Sinclair said she decided to join the movement after having her son and realizing "that there was a very big stigma on breastfeeding." "Some people like to try their first time (going topless) on this day simply because of the support around. "I feel the low-key event we do is better because it shows that it can be normal and it’s hard to argue you aren’t seeking attention if you organize a boobie parade," she said. There will be no marches or special speeches. She said they don't plan to meet anywhere in particular or at a specific time. ![]() Sinclair said the Hampton day is all about encouraging solidarity. "It goes to show that the world did not end and Hampton did not fall apart just because people spotted female nipples," Sinclair said. While the event garnered outrage that first year including one local official calling it detrimental to the beach’s status as a “family resort,” it has since become a non-event. ![]() Sinclair along with Heidi Lilley organized the first Go Topless Day in Hampton in 2015. The day is held each year on the Sunday closest to Women's Equality Day and is celebrated all over the county including Hampton Beach.
